First, welcome to the site and thanks for taking some of your valuable time to visit. I believe you will find that it will be time well spent.
This site is dedicated to every US citizen who truly cares about the welfare and future of this country. Its purpose is to provide people with the essential resources needed to get into action and help bring about some badly needed changes.
Every day people see all of the critical issues contributing to the decline of our country on television and in the newspapers and they are fed up and want to do something about it (like me). However, there’s that first big hurdle, “I don’t have the time to go searching around to find out how to contact my Representative, find the right form to fill out, write a letter or find out what pending legislature is out there and on and on…”. And even if you did, where in the heck to start? What can I do? Where do I go? What information is out there that will tell me what is really happening behind the all the scenes and the media spin so I am properly informed? These are some of the same questions I have asked myself and are what inspired me to build this site.
Yes, the internet is a great place to find almost anything you want but when it comes to important information that affects our lives, big business and especially the government do not make it easy to find or access. You could spend weeks or months surfing the web for all the information you needed to do anything. This is what the news stations, reporters and such folks spend so much time doing – searching and gathering information. Granted they subscribe to some services that help consolidate that information for them and I will be leveraging some of those services as well for use on the site.
Sure some of the good guys out there like Lou Dobbs, Jack Cafferty, Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck and those types are writing books and doing some other things to expose many of the true motives of these large entities driving our country into failure but I thought to myself, “why isn’t there a place where a Joe Schmo like me can go to find all of this information in one place”? So I did some searching on the internet and could not find such a place. Then ding, the light bulb came on, and here we are.
It would take me forever (well almost) to try to find and collect all of the great resource links, contact lists, email addresses, news feeds, stories etc available out there. However, with everyone’s help we can make short work of it. Especially if we can get help from those in the media or those with access to these types of resources / information. These folks have staffs with access to vast amounts of information and could make expeditious and significant contributions here.
I also know that there are lots of folks out there who are very passionate when it comes to the issues impacting this country today who would be more than willing to do a little searching. Even if everybody just found one great resource or link to a government form or some such we could fill up this website very quickly. How awesome would it be to just be able to point your fellow citizens to a single website where they could get everything they need to get into action and start getting this country turned around? Very awesome! Just imagine how empowered all the Joe Schmos in this country could be. Make it easy and they will come!
I am really counting on you, the people who still have faith in the American dream, to help me make this site a foundation for you and all your fellow citizens. It will be through your ideas, comments and contributions (not money) that this site will grow to be an extremely powerful utility for everyone’s use. This site will basically belong to every citizen. Love or hate any content, story or idea? Send an email or post a comment. I’ll read them all. And if it makes sense and will provide some true value to everyone, I’ll change it, fix it or add it. Found a great website that can help our cause? Or want to start a petition? Send it all in. I think you get the drift. The idea is to make this a totally collaborative effort for everyone’s benefit, remembering that in this case quality and not quantity rules. We want people to come to the site and be able to quickly find what they want and when they find it, we want it to be good, solid “meat and potatoes” information with clear, actionable direction. Too much “fluff” and we end up wasting people’s time again.
Anyway, I would like to sincerely express my gratitude to you all in advance for any amount of help you can give. I absolutely believe that in pooling all of our resources into one place and leveraging the power of our masses we will have the tools and information needed to bring to bear great pressure where ever it is needed. I also believe that we can still save this country and that it is most certainly a country worth fighting for. It’s our heritage, our home and our future and still the greatest country in the world – it’s the USA! So let’s pull up our boot straps and kick some butt!
